Yeah. I can understand much of what the analytics hate about continental philosophy. Hegel's philosophy, due to the cultish behaviour of Hegelians, is made out to be similar to the Nicene Creed of idealism and much continental philosophy. Mainstream continental philosophy seems to always come back to Hegel and his religious dogma for validation or confirmation. Kant is like Jesus Christ in this respect.

We need a return to the methodology and attitude of Humboldtian science, but in philosophy. Analytics pay close attention to the data, but lack holistic spirit or respect for creative genius. Continentals in the 20th century offer endless critique but then lack respect for the data and have disdain for creative genius (it's only with Deleuze forward that this has begun to change).
