I hate this life-denying socialist faggot so much. No, I haven’t read him. No, I won’t make this thread on topic.

Is he only mentioned on here so much because of cuck philosophy's video? He isn't translated into English and seemed to be obscure even among the idealists before then. Are we that shallow. Commenting on books we haven't read. I guess that's /lit/ but its everywhere else too. Traditionalists pretend to be religious to have a political identity. Conservatives defend corporations: the destroyers of organic communities. Socialists swap class for homosexuality. Poetry is reduced to instagram posts. Philosophy reduced to an aesthetic. Nothing new is produced. Maybe nothing new can be produced. Are we at the end? Nothing seems real. It's all one now. A flickering half damaged screen. God is dead. Marx is dead. States are dead. The corpse becomes one. You, me, everyone. Dead with the rest. Maybe love is possible. Beauty possible. But it is only a love in death, a beauty in death.

I love you.

Why though? He seems like the few yt essayists who are well informed and sincere. Probably because he actually studied philosophy. I don't really care about yt anymore but I still look forward to his videos

"The next real literary "rebels" in this country might well emerge as some weird bunch of anti-rebels, born oglers who dare somehow to back away from ironic watching, who have the childish gall actually to endorse and instantiate single-entendre principles. Who treat of plain old untrendy human troubles and emotions in U.S. life with reverence and conviction. Who eschew self-consciousness and hip fatigue. These anti-rebels would be outdated, of course, before they even started. Dead on the page. Too sincere. Clearly repressed. Backward, quaint, naive, anachronistic. Maybe that'll be the point. Maybe that's why they'll be the next real rebels. Real rebels, as far as I can see, risk disapproval. The old postmodern insurgents risked the gasp and squeal: shock, disgust, outrage, censorship, accusations of socialism, anarchism, nihilism. Today's risks are different. The new rebels might be artists willing to risk the yawn, the rolled eyes, the cool smile, the nudged ribs, the parody of gifted ironists, the "Oh how banal". To risk accusations of sentimentality, melodrama. Of overcredulity. Of softness. Of willingness to be suckered by a world of lurkers and starers who fear gaze and ridicule above imprisonment without law. Who knows." DFW

I love you too anon. Time to make the world real again
