I used to be a pyromaniac just starting small fires in backalleys. setting a handful of newspapers on fire here and there on bare concrete away from anything that could catch fire. but one evening i took cocaine, and drank the most of my life, and blacked out. I guess I went on a maniacal rampage throwing cinder blocks through car windows and I set a dumpster on fire behind a packed bar. I was laughing hysterically while I was doing it. 29. Bad upbringing. Basically I meet all the criteria of someone who would become a pyro. Father abandoned the family. Lots of alcoholism(we're irish), lots of depression, poor. that sort of thing. you would never know I had such a fucked up inclination though if you met me. I'm pretty popular in my city, well liked, I've been a bartender at nice clubs since I was 18.

City of Angels was good. I watched Until The End of the World when I was a teenager in the 90s and it came on scifi channel. Absolutely loved it, feels bad Solveig Dommartin passed away. Do not read any summaries or plot synopsis. Just watch UTEOTW. Criterion Collection came out with a DVD/BluRay remaster, I got it and am waiting for a solid block of 5 hours to watch it. If you enjoy that one check out Code 46, not nearly as good but its a similar globe trotting dystopian road movie. Also Samantha Morton is a cutie.

You can enter a name into the name bar, but have a proof it is you by putting a "#" and than follow it with text, for example my trip in this post is Name #Name. If you copy it into your name bar you will get the same trip. A good example of this was the Q anon psyop, in which someone on a imageboard site used the name Q followed by a trip code to identify the post to the followers.

Blue board. So I guess it is okay to state your age here. Somehow I got away with stating my age on r9k but maybe that's because I was on cellular. I would recommend staying off red boards, or at least going on rarely, those places aint good for the head, even blue boards are not. At least there is (some extent) of free speech here and it is anonymous, so no strings (aside from feds) and occasional new good content. Though places like r9k are cesspools' of filth, and even /pol/ gets on my nerves, though its right about a lot it gets repetitive, dull and very harsh for no reason.

Nah man just a few, thanks for the compliment though, glad I seem somewhat well read, there are others here who have read so much more and always will be. Though I really got into reading this year, read stuff you like but also try to learn things too like about a factual subjects or history, though I mainly like classic /lit/ and poetry. Here's one trick that helps, set out a goal, like to read 90 pages a day or so. Using the trick of reading for 25 minutes, taking a 5 minute break, and repeating for 4 times and than taking a 20 minute break and than getting back to work on the same cycle helps me a lot, I got through 300 pages in hours of a penguin classic! 25 read-5 min break-25 read-5 min break-25 read-5 minute break-25 read-20 minute break-5 min break etc. etc. Try to read about a topic you like, I'd recommend charts from the /lit/ wiki, whether by era, country, genre, etc. also don't be afraid to read things you just come across and things for fun. As I said I focus on history and poetry chronologically, Homer and such. however I love a good action novel so I read The Turner Diaries and Blood Meridian (My dad's a McCarthy fan, he has all the books). Reading is a good hobby because you can live other times and places, and a great author or poet if they have mastered the language enough can use your minds eye to create films greater than anything on tv. Reading is good, but writing is also great and it's dirt cheap, I love taking what I have read and combining ideas in my short stories and poems, writing allows you to be a god and create something beautiful.

Based, seems that books is popular around here and for good reason. McCarthy is a landscape artist with words, and the one in BM beautifully emits death all around

I like the description “urine colored sun” a lot because it sounds stupid, but when you think about the actual color, they hazy brownish sun of the West, bleakly beaming down on the landscape it makes sen. I also like how he describes the sun in a few other ways depending on location or time of day to create a great mood, like he’s a great lighting director in a film, genius. His landscape of Mexico seems ancient And weathered, yet alive and alive with death.
