Most key philosophers and scientists in the past were religious, so it's stupid to assume it's not compatible. I believe God exists and I'm not entirely opposed to eugenics and while i wouldn't call myself a transhumanist, i would be comfortable calling myself either a post or antihumanist, but at the same time i don't think there's any meaningful distinction between post and trans. That’s despite those religions, not because of them. Look how long it took for those religions to accept the basic tenets of astronomy and biology. They didn’t objectively look at the evidence, calmly and rationally disagreed with it, then in retrospect came back on their position and admitted that they hadn’t seen the full picture and that they had made an error. They had to be dragged towards these discoveries, kicking and screaming like a petulant 5 year old who breaks his toys because if I can’t play with it, nobody can.
