What books should be mandatory reading in schools?

Who cares? If you're a male, you are doing the most important aspects of your thinking (critically and creatively) in your 20s and 30s. Most human accomplishments have been done within those times.

As you age, you'll look back on your childhood years favorably somewhat, but with a bit of embarrassment, since you acted like you were: a kid.

Mandatory reading should be something that helps the child grow and learn more, however the most important works would not be in high school, they would be in college.

Is this book really worth reading? I see it posted a lot over the years. How schizo is it on a scale of 1 to reptilian overlords?

You could probably read the whole book in like an hour if you don’t do any of the activities. Just download a pdf and decide for yourself.

Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality (to teach them that science is real).

Frankenstein (to teach them that women are the true originals, inventing science fiction)

The Unbearable Lightness of Being (to teach them about love and because it’s beautiful)

100 Years of Solitude (to fight colonialism)

And:

James Franco’s book Palo Alto (to teach about experimenting in creative forms outside of your specialty).

this is very well thought out, well explained, and also totally gay

>The Odyssey (to honor Greece's trailblazing in the LGBTQIA+ movement)
>Othello (to honor one of the most historical non-white leads in English literature
>something by Virginia Woolf because she's the only woman writer worth reading
And then run the dystopia gammit for demoralization, since that's the actual purpose of our education system.

It's not so crazy as I though, easier to read more than Deleuze and Heidegger kek, the 1st exercise is about metaphysics, the rest is on you.
