A haiku is just a brief snapshot of where you are in the world. A quiet observation about some aspect of nature. A frog leaping from a lily pad into a pond, or a goose flying overhead, or snow accumulating on a tree branch. Don't worry about syllables, so long as you make every word matter. :)
