Personally I used to be a bit fashy until I realized the expression, "revolt against the modern world and return to tradition" applies to negroes and natives too. To be honest I'm interested in why violence and poverty is so perpetual in Africa: I've had it explained to me it has to do with the native religion of voodoo added to the extreme heat and environment, among other things, but I don't have a good grasp on it at all.
