Is this work truly the greatest 21st-century exposition of Wittgenstein?

Yes.

I mean, I would personally say no as the game not going to make people understand Wittgenstein more, but it's good game

not really, but it's good enough to make someone interested in learning more about wittgenstein

sometimes I wonder if VNs might have more literary potential than we think

WHAT DOES WITTGENSTEIN HAVE TO DO WITH A BUNCH OF SCHOOLGIRLS LEZZING OUT?? IT WAS A GOOD WANK THO

Potential? Definitely. Unfortunately they are mostly used for cheap porn. You could tell some amazing stories with the format. Sadly they are already dying out, they make no money. I think it would be awesome to take a classic novel, draw up some good art and convert it to a VN. You would probably have to cut stuff out and change the story a bit, but it could work.

I have seen this exact thread maybe 5 times over the past half year.
If you are not gonna post screenshots proving this weeb some merit, can you jsut please stop

They do. Eventually, some big name western multimedia artist will do one and the medium will really take off.

It's presumed that people have already played it. You can't prove a book has merit just by a couple of passages

Are there any other candidates?

Subahibi’s in my top 3 favorite works, but does it really have great insight on Wittgenstein? It seems more concerned with Wittgenstein’s life than his philosophy, which I don’t remember the text being engaged with.

>> No.16814879

I stopped reading partway through chapter 6 did I miss anything important? Honestly I liked chapter three and the ending of chapter four had me rolling, but everything that came after that felt unneeded.
I heard that it's actually a remake of the author's previous work from the late 90s, which would explain the weird focus on mobile phones I guess. I also heard that the original only went up to the fifth chapter. Anyone know if this is true?

You are already delusional for wondering.
Weeaboos are tranny tier schizophrenic about the maturity and intellectual value of their media. They see an anime girl and they automatically attribute merit to a thing that is inevitably trashy teen-children's drivel.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Anyway, it's not like the object of our affection is important anyway, it's how you relate to it that's the problem (or boon as the case may be).

How is being a weeb inherently more consumerist than a ass sniff pseudo-literary faggot? Sure, if you buy a bunch of shit, but the object of desire doesn't really affect this. Buying anime figurines is the same as buying books that you don't read.

Be honest anon, don't try to trick people into reading some VN they don't care about for an explanation of analytic phil that for most people may as well not be there. I like otaku things too but when it comes to Western intellectualism you need to ignore their opinions completely, it's all wrong.

I don't think it's that Wittgensteinian. Just some fancy quotes like
your will doesn't influence the world
sense of world must lie outside of it — this one actually explains the structure of novel
and his last words
I lived a happy life
which were frequently used to urge people to just 'live happily'

I don't even think it is that much about Tractatus

Is anybody willing to elaborate more on this? I'm not a Wittgenstein fan and not going to re-read Tractatus any time soon

>n-no, you're mad!
>w-well consooming anime is just as consoom as consooming something else!
You are nothing but cattle. That is OK, but please stop pretending you are indulging in something with merit. Anime has at its VERY best the same intellectual depth as a South American soap opera. Even the movies made in the 1980s that you love to point to exclusively when someone attacks your maid harem stories are in 99% cases nothing but empty visuals.
Cope.

>> No.16815038

>>16814938
But you're the one coping.
There is nothing in literature that isnt found in anime, and anime does it better.
There's a reason anime has become one of the most enjoyed mediums of art in the world and literature is dying and will die. Stop fetishizing the medium.
Books of fiction are inferior to anime works of fiction. That's the fact.

Because it caters to the lowest common denominator?
Do you also love Marvel movies?
