I dont trust Heidegger. He may have been onto something but I find his lack of a more comprehensive engagement with eastern traditions as lazy.
As always, why bother with moderns.

I find Heidegger's work more appealing and more engaging to read. Husserl tries to be too much of a scientist to me. It's too bare. I specially like Heidegger's attention to poetry and the arts.

Husserl is the most autistic continental philosopher since Kant. So I'll go with him.

Despite a lot of people saying is nearly impossible to read Heidegger, they've never heard of Husserl. And at least Heidegger does away with all that cartesian nonsense that has plagued a lot of western thought
