Is it cats? Dogs? Something else? Interpret the "/lit/" as it pleases you.

Doggos. Dogs are platonist, cats are aristotelian. This is a platonist board.

Nothing is more /lit/ than a working breed canine. It is a breed brought into this world for an express purpose, but a hundred years on, it finds that this activity or exercise is no longer required of them. Now their "purpose" is to wear cute sweaters and be good looking enough to garner upvotes on r3ddit. They have noses perfectly configured to track prey, mouths perfectly calibrated to pick up game without damaging it, senses so fine that thye can point to a songbird hundreds of meters off. All of these features lie dormant while their owners uses them as a surrogate child/friend, fattening them mercilessly with table scraps and softening them with excess belly rubs.
The /lit/ thing to do is to rescue a rat terrier or a German Short Haired Pointer, and return it to a life of purpose by putting it to work.

>> No.16617319

The most lit are cats. Schopenhauer explains how it is will afirming to want to touch things, animals, the aesthetical contemplation that ceases the will can only be done through vision and hearing, the cat is a delicate animal made to be admired, dogs we touch and play with. I read Schoppy in 2016, sorry if I missed something. Baudelaire says that you can see eternity through the eyes of a cat, while saying that dogs like to smell poop and are repulsed by perfume.

Jokes aside, the truth is fish are undoubtedly the most /lit/ pet.

Good shout, but there are better birds.
The most /lit/ pet isn't one you can just buy in a store, an obnoxious beast like a dog or a narcissistic cat; it's one you have to become friends with, gain its trust and then capture it.
Thus the most /lit/ pet is the crow.

It's not that bad anywhere but they break pretty easy and creepily. They're looking for an out for their culture. Nice place but they aren't as emotionally deep or explorative as they were a century ago, they're just emotionally repressed. Not a bad place, every culture has their own brand of stupid. You can take it or you can leave it.
