Why are people on this board so content with criticizing manchildren when buying ridiculous merchandise and collectibles for their videogames and tv shows and generally being mindless consumers when physical book collections are seen as some noble pursuit? Swallow your fucking pride and just use an e reader. Noone gives a fuck what you are reading in public and reading a physical book as advertisement of the fact you are reading is highschool atheist intellectual tier vain and cringe. It's been proven that paperwhite screen technology has the same level of reading speed and retension for readers as paper (LED screens have 15-20% speed and comprehension reduction) and the money spent on ebooks is more directly supporting the authors. Also if you disagree with supporting an author but still wish to enjoy their content guilt free, piracy is so easy with e readers with the various file formats available. I use my mother's original nook from over 10 years ago and the battery lasts forever and it supports all the popular file formats. Stop consuming and read for the sake of reading, collections are a spook.
