Has anyone come up with a way to digitally create a dream library? You'd pick a room and fill the empty shelves with volumes of your choosing. These could be searched up via ISBN or through a title search. The digital tomes would have the correct dimensions. etc.

Bonus points if clicking on a book opens a linked PDF.

Yup: pykewater.com
The knowledge lists are samples of owned works/scanned works/works that can be scanned. It’s an ongoing project that has been building for over a decade.
It’s the glowworm section; it’s reserved for pykewater discord members/limited academic membership due to potential copyright claims/problems and legal parameters. But yeah, going for it.

I don't get it... you just created a digital dababase for academic books etc? Isn't this shit supposed to exist in every country by public standards?

Thanks man, appreciated. The hope is to eventually open a full academic-quality interface for both academics and non-academics/the general public alike.
I envision a digital library that is as stocked as amazon—but where anyone can come, browse, collect, read, for free. Slowly but surely. OP’s post seemed relevant.

I own every single one; they are all converted into PDFs and organized like a library behind a password wall. Again, for free.

Dude I literally already wrote all this above. At this point, to “for whom,” I’d say: not you.

There are dozens of projects like that for every university, at least in Europe. Not sure how the system works in America, but it's nothing groundbreaking, on the contrary it is something that scholars can't normally live without. Congrats anyway, if you managed to improve your field somehow.
