2. Historical studies, notably Spengler have clearly shown that the traditions of different civilizations are not understandable or interrelated, but are all unique and that civilizations have sometimes multiple dark and golden ages, periods of religion followed by periods of areligion.

3. The very clear and coherent way modernity is able to create technologies that allows us to control the world around us, as well as our own society and inner mind, shows that whatever modernity is, its on the right path.

4. The past is full of horrible and genocidal customs like slavery, child labour, forced prostitution, pedophilia, genocide, which where certainly not always sees as wrong by those who practised these customs, where modernity has at least in theory the concept that these are morally wrong.

I think these four points are at the basis of discrediting traditionalism.
