I just finished reading Logos Rising in its entirety. Parts of the book that deal with Hegel and Thomist philosophy are quite dense and will likely filter anyone who doesn't already have a working grasp of these topics. I really enjoyed the final chapter, which was an analysis of the Iranian revolution and how the cultural dialectic of our era is between capitalism and religion. Overall, I highly recommend Logos Rising as well as EMJ's work in general.

Haven't actually read EMJ's spergout about Tolkien but my own understanding is that EMJ thinks (with some justification) that the magic ring in Wagner's Ring Cycle was a metaphor for [Jewish obv] usury. But Tolkien was somewhat philosemitic so he used Wagner's magic ring idea wrong and more generally Tolkien wasn't hard enough on the Jews [dwarves].
