Why would AI invalidate anything? Will it stop you from raising a family and living a virtuous life?

Yes. I will get high and drunk and run over a family of four with my newly acquired truck. Nothing matters anymore

It isn’t and it’s not as big as people makes it out to be. It’s neither artificial nor it’s intelligent. It’s merely automated input. It’ll replace low-tier stuff and most of it it’s done already.

What bearing does it have on the individual's pursuit of Truth? Does it absolve him of his duty to find it?

What if a godlike AI capable of anything came into existence tomorrow? Why would that change anything?

>Why write/draw/paint/sculpt?
Because it lets me create art. Sure, an AI can make something a million times better, but that does not lessen the enjoyment I get out of the process, or the pleasure of seeing my finished product.

>Why study the sciences? Why study technology?
Because I want to know how this physical world works. Sure, an AI might know far, far more than I ever will, but I can still learn. I can still grow. So what if someone else does it faster?

It's like this. I enjoy playing sports. Tom Brady and Lebron James are far better athletes than I, but that doesn't mean I can't grow as a basketball or football player. Don't worry about others, focus on yourself. This life is a gift, and someone or something being better than you at things doesn't cheapen it.

this point of view has no scaling into the future. like imagine this, you are putting a ceiling and you say that something will never reach this ceiling, ok but until it reaches that ceiling what then? you imagine it will be at that ceiling for, lets create a far fetched figure and say 1 million years it will never go anywhere?
