The whole point of Christianity is that God loves people independently of their moral value. Christianity also holds that all he wants is to be loved in return with the same intensity.

Your problem is that you think of God as being some kind of "moral enforcer" on the other side of the grave. But if God is a moral enforcer on the other side of death, I could only despair, since I have nothing to offer Him but sin.

Perhaps you should re-read the Bible, specifically Luke 18:9 - 14. You think by repeating this heresy, you are being kind to atheists, but in fact you're being cruel to everyone, since we have nothing to offer God. All our righteousnesses are but filthy rags. (Isaiah 64:6)

Because describing yourself as gnostic is one of the few things I would unironically call cringe.

It's this overwhelmingly narcissistic neet pseudo-religion that asks nothing of you just makes you feel special because you're in-on-it that it's the archons or whatever. Don't have to wake up on Sunday morning for Mass. No corporal or spiritual works of mercy to be doing. Just smoke weed and do exactly the same stuff you did before you 'became gnostic'.

Had a friend like this always sending me wikipedia articles and /x/ threads, talked about gnosticism 24/7. Always asking me why I don't think it's profound and I say that everything I read he sent me seems like very basic insight that doesn't compare at all to the profundity I experience in the scriptures or the works of the saints. I suggest he read some of their works and he REEEEEs about how I just don't get gnosticism and the saints and Bible have nothing interesting to say and I say but you've never read them or anything other than /x/ posts and he unironically says that /x/ posters have just as much insight as the saints and I tell him to shut the fuck up because he's retarded.

I really earnestly disappeared into this kind of thinking for a few years in my late teens early 20s and it was half larp half mental illness and all harmful for me socially, mentally, physically, spiritually.
