How do you guys deal with constant joint problems? Do you also have weird clicking and grinding with normal movement and frequent injuries? I know this kind of "elastic joints" is something that exists and I have it too, but all the doctors I've been to tell me it's just the way I am and I have to deal with it, nothing can be done to help with the problem.

The question is how to quantify the separation of it and truth

>> No.16302728

>>16302671
No problems at all, this is just being able to bend the joints individually and not just as a group. You can bend all of your fingers like the first two pictures, it is just that your other knuckles also bend, we can isolate individual knuckles.

>> No.16302754

>>16302728
actually there is one problem, my knuckles do lock up on occasion, but all I have to do is crack my knuckles and they are working well again. Been able to do this all my life and I am 40 now. I do work with my hand a lot, wood working with hand tools and play guitar/piano, so that may help. Guitar and piano are where I notice my knuckles locking up, they will be stiff and not able to make the moves I require of them, but once I crack my knuckles all is well. Been this way as long as I can remember.

For years I held off on interpreting the GE Moore "proof" because I assumed I didn't get it, like it must be cheekier than it seems and I'm not clever enough to get the cheekiness

Then I realized GE Moore is just a retard and I sent threatening letters to his grand-daughter Juliet

I do have bad knees and one bad shoulder, neither hips are doing too well, one wrist is a nightmare, the other is ok but not great, muscle is the only thing supporting my back and neck at this point..

>>16303075
How is this a joint problem? My sister and mom can both do this as well, none of us have problems because of it.

>> No.16303134

>>16303119
ah, for me it is a problem because i have flawed connective tissue and one symptom of that is hypermobility - i suppose it isn’t a problem for everyone but it affects my knees and ankles too such that i’ve broken or sprained my ankles numerous times

>> No.16303161

>>16303134
Yeah, being able to bend your fingers like this is not hypermobility, it is mostly just muscle control. Most people never bother to develop such control because it is largely useless, but some of us just seem born with it, or it might just be that my mom could do it and both my sister and I imitated it while we were young.

No I can't, they're going backward in the pic.

You can, press against a table. The difference is that you do not have the muscle to pull them back, you need to press against something.

Only my first joint down from the tip and the joint at the base can go backwards when I push it. The middle knuckle locks when straight and pushing it back more would break it.

Most people can do that in my experience. I have shown many people over the years how my finger contortions are not all that weird by demonstrating how their tips can bend just like mine when they make a fist and how their second can as well when pushing against a table. Only real difference is I do not need to make a fist to bend my tips or press against a table to make my second joints bend back.

>>16303208
I can do that but it is right at the verge of my thumb dislocating and it feels horrible so I rarely do it.

I'm really new to philosophy but how can you prove the existence of that hands from an external point of view? How can you prove that they're not a sensorial illusion? I mean, I can prove to myself that I exist, at the very least as thinking being, but how can I prove to myself the existence of the hands that you showed?
