I don't think there are any truly monogamous species in the animal kingdom, at least not among what we consider like typical animals, because the female just always has an incentive to cuck. But there is a big difference between lovebirds and walruses. I would bet there are differences in different human populations as well, and of course between individuals(and even in one individual multiple strategies can be present). Humans generally are probably somewhere in between monogamy and harems, judging by our rates of sexual dimorphism among other things.

All Im saying is that it's a bit more complicated than the very watered down(and often ideologically motivated) bits of sociobiology/evopsych that have emerged in the internet 'redpill' spheres. Even in the academic world this stuff is highly contentious when dealing even with other species because it is very hard to provide much evidence for any of it.
