Lit is not an example of autodidacticism, few people on this board actually read literature seriously, most just 'meme' and shitpost after they skim-read a topic on Wikipedia. Education is praise-worthy, but to look down on those who have directly read the source-material rather than study it academically under a professor is both obnoxious and without merit - it's easily possible that they could be more educated than you in a subject.
Even beyond this, many people will choose to spend their four years at university studying other subjects for the sake of profession, might be medicine, engineering or mathematics etc., it's more than possible for them to learn Latin and Greek in their spare time, or to study the stances of philosophers to just a great, or even higher level than your own. Don't be so overconfident, your degree is no guarantee of excellence in a subject area, don't forget, it only means that you've been formally educated in that topic area in a recognised institution, why you think what you've gained there is so impossible to reproduce independently is beyond me
