Actually he was just too much of a weakling to reach for anything that might have changed his mind. He was your typical autist observing life from a distance instead of actually living it. Criticizing everything and keeping the object of his criticism far away from itself.

Well, he didn't fail, he just did what everyone trying to set up a giant purpose for the species does: he made up a bunch of bullshit until he convinced himself, and then he played around pretending that he is a saint heir to the greatest shift in humanity ever yadda yadda like all prophets. This convinced a lot of people because he writes nice, just like religions convince a lot of people because they write nice.

Actually look at what Nietzsche is saying (scholars of him have lost the ability to do this): He is saying that he wants to create a civilization dedicated to the advancement of mankind ruled by an oligarchy that continually advances itself into overmanhood and overovermanhood etc etc until it has dominated the entire universe to such a point where it can create god, who will then perfectly control the collapse of order (the big crunch) so as to create the entire chain of evolution, with god at the end, an infinite number of times.

A white man take:

If psychology is about oneself.
Then everything within is criticism and scrutiny.
And everything outside is of unknown abstraction.
Both lead to futility as they have no end.

Problem comes from innabilty to accept the frailities of "man".
A broken clock is right twice a day.
Expecting it to be right all the time is of invalid logic.
Hinting only but a reach to "know it all" and "change it all", an ego.
While all is natural.
We are not the creatures of all-knowing and all-able.

In any one that seeks of self importance in reach of an extreme
is bound to found their progress to be futile in nature.

If Bertrand Russell is of any reason, it's of noting
that in all the effort, a human reason can be at most a best guess.

Therefore, in thirst to have, you have to ask a little.
That is, if you are ready to accept yourself.
(C. Jung would help there)

You can't be an uberdude naturally because no one begins with a perspective or a workable set of presuppositions with which to face reality. What characterizes a real uberdude to begin with is a journey of becoming. Simply being is no different from a beast on the field and relinquishes the primary prerogative that separates us from them. Which is an unattainable goal to begin with so all that you'll accomplish is offsetting nihilism with the strength of a journey that's ultimately futile. But it's better than laying down and perishing like a dog.

Lit is not an example of autodidacticism, few people on this board actually read literature seriously, most just 'meme' and shitpost after they skim-read a topic on Wikipedia. Education is praise-worthy, but to look down on those who have directly read the source-material rather than study it academically under a professor is both obnoxious and without merit - it's easily possible that they could be more educated than you in a subject.
Even beyond this, many people will choose to spend their four years at university studying other subjects for the sake of profession, might be medicine, engineering or mathematics etc., it's more than possible for them to learn Latin and Greek in their spare time, or to study the stances of philosophers to just a great, or even higher level than your own. Don't be so overconfident, your degree is no guarantee of excellence in a subject area, don't forget, it only means that you've been formally educated in that topic area in a recognised institution, why you think what you've gained there is so impossible to reproduce independently is beyond me
