No but he is definitely one of the most likeable neocons. Most people on the right seem to have gotten their start in politics with him and then gradually moved on as they realized his analysis is often incomplete, as is the case with most libertarians. In pure economic terms, international free markets and the free movement of people would be awesome. The problems is we're people and not economic units so you have to factor in the social cost of these policies and this is where guys like Sowell fall short.

I actually don't know if he's a neocon or not, whether he thinks America is a "creedal nation" with universal principles which should be spread to all nations but he's very much in bed with them.

The policies set up in Norway are indeed good, but you cannot simply claim this when it comes to America not being a developed nation. Norway already had authoritarianism (its power structures being less democratic) more inherent in its governance, making it more efficient, and, as is said, more orderly. How does canadian healthcare and similar work?
I often hear that they have months long waiting lists and due to that their system isn't really effective at providing healthcare but I haven't got the time to corroborate it on my own.

I always wonder if communists take into account that many of the means of production will need maintenance and that the skills required to perform such maintenance aren't easy to learn.
What would stop the maintenance/engineers union to go on strike not for an unattended need but because they just want more money? Everyone else picking up their guns to get them to stop? That would just make them a de facto slave class since their labor isn't optional for society to run IMO.

Whenever I look into what the system would look like I find dumb system breaking holes like that.
