do you people do it? does it have any merit?
I was watching a video of a b**tu*er and she does it all the time, to me it sounds like normie's horror vacui and a way to let your brain rest while it should be working, in fact I don't use audiobooks at all, but what does /lit/ think?

I saw someone recommend it, but it irritates me, 'cause I can read faster than the voice, but I can't go past the voice and still comprehend what I'm reading. It's like when you can hear a delayed echo of your own voice in the phone when you're talking.

a few anons here say it helps with retention, personally I find it cumbersome to have to setup every time I want to read
I'm thankful for audiobooks getting me back into reading but I've ultimately weened myself off of them.
They're a great sleep aid, if you're into that.

Not him but in what way is that autistic? He makes a totally valid point. Also it would probably be in your best interest if you stopped avatarfagging, your posts are always low quality and you never contribute anything of substance to the topic at hand

Except I bet you are him, autist. You sound like a 12 year old reading Lord of the Flies in class, complaining that the teacher is reading too slow for your elevated taste, shut the fuck up

Its not even avatarfagging since its not specific reactions, dumbshit; they're just images of a particular character that you won't even have to worry about in a few days from now
pic related would be avatarfagging

I tried that a couple of years ago using some audios from Librivox while reading either The Turn of the Screw by Henry James or Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. It didn't work because the books I had were of a different edition of the audio recordings, so some words/sentences were different.
