Taleb focuses solely on net worth, but fails to account for the impact of IQ and chances of graduating high school, correlation between IQ and births out of wedlock or by single mothers, correlation between IQ and government welfare, correlation between IQ and parenting styles, correlation between IQ and crime, etc. Taleb also has shit deadlifting form. Someone should tell him that before he blows out his back.

The point, which is very easy to understand, is that you cannot judge individuals by the average of their group. There are smart blacks and dumb whites. Average blacks and below average whites. In fact there is greater variance in IQ within groups than there is between groups. You simply can't judge someone by the colour of their skin when they could surpass their racial average. India, for example, has an average IQ of 82, but Ramanujan was one of the greatest mathematical geniuses in history, Vishwanathan Anand was one of the greatest chess players in history, etc. It is utterly stupid to judge such men by the average of their race, to say they are inferior to the dumb white construction worker simply because he is white and they are not. That is why racism is so dumb, and, since making such judgements has an extremely negative effect on people's lives, racism is also morally reprehensible.
Think of it like this: Imagine you're a fit man who eats healthy and exercises. You can bench press 250 lbs. But then someone comes along and asserts that in fact you can only lift 135 lbs. When you ask why, they respond, "Well, the average male can only lift 135 lbs, and you belong to that category, therefore you must only be able to lift that much." This is exactly what occurs with racism, except racism is a much more powerful life-destroying phenomenon.
