What's the best approach for Kant? I've read the seminal works (among others) of Aristotle, Descartes, Locke, Leibniz, Hume, and Spinoza, so I feel that I have a good background to finally read him, but his bibliography is so vast that I'm not really sure where to start. I'm mostly interested in his works on ethics and aesthetics, if that helps at all; but if there's a good entry point that isn't related to either of those two, that's fine as well.
I'm also wondering if there's a unanimous choice for the best translator (similar to how Kaufman is viewed as the best for Nietzsche).

>read all these seminal authors
>didnt read plato, the most seminal of seminal
wtf? you are still probably going to get kant though regardless but its weird you disnt include probably the most influential figure, not to mention many kantian ideas are evolutions of platonic ones. regardless, you probably got what you need if you covered those you gave eveb thiugh Kant is rather platonic in influence. bit if you covered the rationalists you have the jist.
i would recommend starting with prolegomena before diving into the big boy CoPR. its much easier to read and direct to the point. it encapsulates Kants mainstructure. CoPR is more of an intensive proof.

I've obviously read Plato, I couldn't really tell you why I didn't list him. And yes, I've read a lot of the rationalists. Leibniz and Spinoza, in particular, are two of my favorites and I've read a lot of their stuff.
I'll definitely check out Prolegomena. Is there anything else that you'd recommend in between that and CoPR?
