>decides to get back at his wrong doers by writing a self insert poem about the wrongs of the church and italian society.
>said poem has him going from hell to heaven being guided by his poet idol virgil and beatrice a woman dante grew obsessed with despite meeting only two times.
>in hell part of the poem dante meets many of the individual black guelphs that put him in exile being tortured for their sins .
