I don't think anyone said that. He toots his own horn plenty, because he DID have the largest philosophy show, but he's got some glaring faults that make him boring. His entire worldview depends on free will being a thing, but he ironically has zero arguments to support his position.

Obviously he isn't a philosopher; he's a popularizer/presenter. I thought he did a couple of decent things a while back - his presentation on Net Neutrality was not bad, for example. It collected all the facts and went through them in quite a workmanlike way. But since then, probably his popularity went to his head and he started believing he actually was a serious original thinker or something.
