he believed causality to be just muh psychological construct. he legitimately is the grandfather of post-strutturalism and deconstruction, that is, the cancer of western culture.
now, my question is: why is it always an a*glo the one fabricating the most obtuse and ugly speculations? is it genetical? is it due geography? what is it?

The reflexivity of Derrida is more linked to Descartes than it is to Hume. Hume doesn't centre the 'I' or pay particular focus to the cogito. He's much more important for Kant, who is nearly always a venerated though critiqued philosopher-king/boogeyman for people like Foucault.

postmodernism is aestheticized pyrrhonism, truely a neoplasm of the intellect.

It's really not. That's a meme from Lyotard, who wasn't even important for post-structuralism. He merely defined postmodernism, which was important for people in literary studies and nowhere else.

Derrida:
>history of philosophy
>difference between writing and speech
>grammatology
>self-reflexivity from the breaking of the signifier-signified relation
Deleuze
>history of philosophy
>lewis carroll
>schizophrenia is cool because it short circuits freud
Literally no skepticism. Even I'm not a big fan of post-structuralism because it's ran its course. You might want to read the texts rather than go off memes from Lyotard, who said people are skeptical of the institutions of knowledge and the sciences, etc., not that they're pure skeptics like pyrrho.

foucault and derrida are the main theorists of the "post-truth". derrida, foucault, deleuze, barth, lyotard, etc are the same trash.
also this movement gave birth to other 2 crimes against intelligence: feminism and cultural studies

aristotle's 1st book of metaphysics starts with what you call a "critical theory" (that is, an inquire on what philosophy is).
cultural studies is an whole different thing, retard.

An Answer to the Question: What is Enlightenment? is about thinking correctly and rationally in defiance of authoritarianism.
>SAGE.

>> No.15546688

>>15546586
"Critical" in Kant means a different thing. A "critique of pure reason" is meant as "review of pure reason": it's essentially an analysis of pure reason, with the goal of clarifying what it is, its reach and its limits. A "critique of my smartphone" would clarify what my smartphone is, and what it can and cannot do.
You're basing your position on a seriously retarded misreading

Critical theory is literally based off Kant's critiques. It's assessing the limits of the literary critic's powers, etc., I didn't say anything about a fucking smart phone. I said cultural studies is a watered down version of critical theory.

>> No.15546886

>>15546737
Critical theory has a prescriptive goal, namely challenging power structures. Kant's project has literally nothing to do with that, nor it bear the same negative goal. In fact from his critical project Kant derives quintessentially positive results: a basis for objective science, an universal moral system, and a defined aesthetic system. The mere pursuance of these goals goes against every principle of pomo philosophy and critical theory.
