yep, all that, all that, doesn't even manage to be good genre fiction at that. At least theres some that you can at least enjoy and have a bit of fun or relaxation with, but with this you're forced to austistically reread it numerous times before you can start getting anything out of it. And even then you might aswell just read about all the big boy plot twists in five minutes and not waste countless hours of your life looking for muh Christian symbolism. And I always say this but fuckin Severian is literally the worst character I've ever encountered in all of fiction.

Pynchons my fav writer for sure because my fav thing in books is goofs, gags, jokes and rambunctious behavior, and his books are full to the brim of it. Every novel is like one of those novelty snake cans, you open the book & POP you get a face fulla snakes and you fall back cackling. The mad mind, the crack genius, to do it! and then you think hmmm whats he gonna do next, this trickster, and you pick the book back up and BZZZZZZZZZZ you get a shock and Hahahahahah you've been pranked again by the old pynchmeister, that card. "Did that Pynch?" he says, laughing yukyukyukyuk. Watch him as he shoves a pair of plastic buck teeth right up into his mouth and displays em for you- left, right, center- "you like dese? Do i look handsome???" Pulls out a mirror. "Ah!" Hand to naughty mouth. And you're on your ass again laughing as he snaps his suspenders, exits stage right, and appears again hauling a huge golden gong.

If you realized anything on this board, it is the fact that /lit/ is a smidge better than /mu/. I didn't post on here years ago, but when I lurked, I witnessed a wholesome slow board. The beginning of the end was when DFW was memed hard after the YouTube videos and subsequent movie release. Imagine threads consisting of anons posting books they like and having ACTUAL DISCUSSION instead of saying GOOD BAD PSUED BRAINLET FILTERED. When conservacuck books and Jordan Peterson started being posted, at least it kept the whiney libs at bay. Now we are stuck with an off-topic board that discusses the "meme trilogy" and not much else. This board is /pol/-lite with a lit/philosophy focus.
