Fuck Locke, Hobbes is based

OP here
I forgot to post that I'm trans and like Hobbes better because he seems more open to people like me than the bad white man John Locke.
Locke scares and confuses me, like, I'm supposed to fend for myself? I wasn't even born the right GENDER, how can I just be expected to "be a good and rational person"? Maybe I'll read his works, but Reddit makes him out to be a real meanie so I'll probably just ignore that hate.

I'm loving Leviathan right now, hopefully we can get a trans or trans-allied leader so I can enjoy being ruled by people like me!

I can see why Hobbes' saying life is nasty, brutish and short appealed to you.

Umm, sweetie, maybe you should actually READ Leviathan first before letting your inner incel take over, lol.
Leviathan teaches us that the alt-right trolls need to be stopped so we can preserve a progressive society. All that "ooh i hate the government because i hate the lgbtq+ community" stuff isn't needed, we should just trust our leaders to love us for who we are!

I remember when I came out as trans to my parents, and they were fine with it, and so should our leaders we put trust in.

Just have sex incel lol

Locke is basically a more optimistic Hobbes. Any good government starts with Hobbes, but once their civilization advances to a certain stage, they move on to Locke. (I.e., going from Hobbesian England to a Lockean United States.)

Granted, we have devolved in recent years, so although Locke's requirement that government protect private property should hold true, it may not be compatible with the requirement to maintain liberty. This is where we turn back to Hobbes.
