I was thinking about this today re: Shakespeare, and no, absolutely not. In fact, it would be harder to argue for anything being High Culture, more so than isolating instances of a procession of vulgarity (which I'm sure has massive political implications but whatever). If there is a parallel dimension sustained from the original dichotomy, it would be bourgeois/proletariat, which even then isn't quite the same as both can dip into each other's pool all the time (though, I would argue, without actually disturbing the dichotomy) and one doesn't necessarily have cultural capital (aside from the sheer quantitative possibility of cultural production, which is still mostly null because the same people who secure that capital are more often interested in multiplying it) over the other.
