So I have my fat stack of stotle; and I have read Pluto&Frens.

In which order do I read these and why?

In the previous thread the suggeste order was
Organon (Categories, De Interpretatione, Prior Analytics, Posterior Analytics, Topics, Sophistical Refutations).
Physics (do not let the title fool you, he's doing natural philosophy and he establishes bedrock principles and deals with questions that remain relevant for all of history, including the four cause, time, God, place, matter and form).
Metaphysics
De Anima
Nicomachean Ethics
Politics
Poetics
Rhetoric

which coincides pretty well with how my books are numbered. However, another anon suggested starting with metaphysics instead of the organon. Which do you think is the better way? Why?

Save the Organon and the Metaphysics for last. Organon because it is boring and Metaphysics because it is most complicated.

Start with De anima and Nicomachean Ethics. These are very juicy, but still fairly easy to understand so long as you take it slow.

Is read poetics first because it’s short and easy to understand to get a feel for him, then I’d read rhetoric because it’s the book that unlocks all writing and social interactions for all time, especially his own, the. I’d read ethics into politics as it directly combats Plato’s concepts in the republic and is a good transition into the rest of the list in order that you posted. Organon is boring as fuck and Aristotle is pretty boring in general. Not saying that his content is bad by any means, some of the greatest wisdom in human history came from that man, but Jesus its a fucking slog. This is the rec from a smooth brain, so take it as you will.

I worked with rhetoric graduate students and lawyers, as well as have my undergrad in communication. I’m a little biased, but I think it’s the most practical of all his books, not only for understanding his own perceived belief in the words he uses, but also for spergs that post frog pictures and complain about social interactions all day under the guise of books for this feel threads.

Yes, many. Simplicius and Porphyry both give you a Neoplatonic lense on the works. Porphyry in particular is very influential in Medieval Logic and his Intro to the Categories (Isagoge) was used as a logic textbook for quite some time. There are also some great Islamic commentators (Al Kindi, Averroes). Al-Farabi was seen as the Second Teacher after Aristotle in the Islamic world and he has some very interesting commentaries on the Organon. Finally you have the Scholastics (Peter Lombard, Albert Magnus and Aquinas), Aquinas is great for reading the Physics and De Anima.
