Yes. I was being an edge lord before, iirc the crisis doesn't refute the central point of the book (slow process vs quick) but it does make a lot of its specific references and dictum inaccurate and suspect. A big one that priming is something that can't be replicated, which I think was a major part of the book.

this interview is a nice and quick overview of the issue and what develops will come of it. I wish I remembered more but it's been a long time since I read Thinking fast and slow. If you're interested I'd research a little while reading it to see what studies are bunk.

I did a quick search just now. I don't think Kahneman has written anything on what turned out to be wrong/unproven in the book beyond what the wiki states. I think is a sign of embarrassment.

Prospect theory (and most of the other stuff) is useless unless you're trying to predict the behavior of dumb people in very specific situations. His criticism of Expected Utility is idiotic - all models are wrong, some are useful. Simplicity is part of the usefulness.
