When citing Guenon (pbuh), do I just cite him as Guenon or Abd al-Wāḥid Yaḥyá? This is for a uni course.

Please don't cite him unless you're reading for something religious studies related, even then be very careful.

I once went on a couple dates with this really cute Persian girl who was a big Guenonian, or former Guenonian. We chatted about Traditionalism and how it's a mostly benign cult, and joked about citing Guenon in essays. She ended up giving me a huge stack of Guenon and Schuon books and then we didn't meet again but she was very pleasant.

I'm also referencing Land, Dugin, Evola, and many other. lmao

I already discussed this with the professor beforehand.

Could be interesting, Guenon had a significant impact on a few figures in French philosophy that thought about those issues - Bataille, et al. I could see it working.

Use the name on the edition of the text you're working from, don't make yourself a fool, air on the side of caution.

do you know how i can tell you are young, you still have this retarded mentality where you think, that throwing all your favourite writers, youve seen memes about on 4chan, will give fruiting to anything of value, it wont its just gonna be another meme essay that you can talk to your friends about because they dont know fuck all about the topic and any serious person will dismiss as postmodern drivel or a clusterfuck of a zoomers reading list

I was just joking when I listed off the couple names. Nonetheless, I stumped the professor with some basic Dugin talking points before, so it's not like any of this matters.

I'm 22

Prévost, Georges Bataille et René Guénon. It's not a good book and it's been not translated but the connections are clear.

Oh, I know. It was something basic he said about the West enforcing it's cultural ideals on other cultures, specifically in regards to gender. He wasn't able to respond to it.
