Also if this book is getting "tiresome," that's because these dialogues weren't meant to be read all at once.
You should read a dialogue, digest it, and then take a break for a few days, then start another one. Don't just rush through it or you won't get anything out of it. That's not how philosophy was meant to be read and/or enjoyed.

Parmenides is the capstone to Plato. It's quite literally the only perfect dialogue.

You could read: Alcibiades I, Euthydemus, Charmides, Hippias Major, Ion, Theaetetus-Sophist-Statesman, Phaedrus, Theages, Republic, Laws, Philebus, Minos-Laws, Symposium, Timaeus-Critias, Parmenides, then Lysis (unironically).

Assuming you've read "The Last Days of Socrates" dialogues; I'd recommend, for some extra Flavor, to read Phaedo after Phaedrus in that list, then view all the other dialogues as prophecies of heaven from an ascended Socrates to Plato, imagine passages as taking place metaphysically, symbolizing the dance and symphony of heaven itself.
