I'm reading Thus Spoke Zarathustra, and I got the same general idea as you did. An "Overman" is a person who utilizes all parts of his soul to change his environment. I like think about it in Freudian terms. Instead having the Ego fighting the Super Ego and Id, all three should be working together. However, if one part of the mind is weak, or in some way corrupted, the Overman should utilize his will to change the weak or corrupted part.
