How many of you have gotten to this point yet? To the people who have read it what do you think?

I think he's come the closest to a view of reality which is objectively 'correct' (from a mechanical standpoint). If his biography is to be believed, he is one of the few in the world who has "done the work" with regards to exploring and exhausting man's religious + speculative metaphysical thinking. The fact that he chanced to reach his 'liberation' purely by accident -- after spending his entire life falling for the same tricks as other 'seekers', no less -- is what gives him his credibility. He's a materialist without glibness or positivist ideology -- a philosopher's materialist, basically. This is the kind of thing you turn to after reading 100 books on Hegel and getting nowhere.

>One of my sannyasins went to see U.G. Krishnamurti, and because he argued with him, U.G. Krishnamurti immediately became angry. And these people like U.G. Krishnamurti are telling people to drop anger, to drop greed, to drop the ego. But if you provoke them... Their whole religion is just skindeep. Inside is hiding a very pious ego, and when ego becomes pious it becomes poisonous. It is more dangerous because you become absolutely unaware of it, it goes so deep down in the unconscious.

>U.G. Krishnamurti lived with J. Krishnamurti for twelve years, and he never mentions his name. If somebody brings up J. Krishnamurti's name, he immediately condemns J. Krishnamurti -- and whatever he is saying is just an imitation of J. Krishnamurti, paraphrasing. The reason he cannot accept the fact that he has been with J. Krishnamurti for twelve years is very simple. The moment he accepts it, then you can compare his statements with J. Krishnamurti's, and you will find they are simply paraphrasing. He is repeating, imitating, he knows nothing.

>Before my sannyasin started arguing with U.G. Krishnamurti, he was just a great saint, so silent, so peaceful. As the argument began, he was afraid to be caught, he could not answer the questions, and anger suddenly arose. He may not have been aware of that anger, but my sannyasin helped him! He wanted to get rid of the sannyasin.

>It is U.G. Krishnamurti who is not an authentic or sincere man -- but you can fall into the trap because he is repeating beautiful phrases. His memory is good, and his intellect is good, but this is the shadow.

Except UG doesn't tell anyone to do any of these things. He explicitly says that he teaches nothing and doesn't belief he can effect change in people, there is no such thing as enlightenment, and you should just try and make a lot of money and fuck bitches.

I don't mean to be adversarial with this post, but:
>he knows nothing
He constantly reminds us of this. He actively warns against trusting his word against anyone else's. It does savour a bit of 'reverse psychology' meant to draw attention to himself, but that might be because he no longer tries to resist his egotism. He doesn't see a point in it, basically.
>And these people like U.G. Krishnamurti are telling people to drop anger, to drop greed, to drop the ego.
I don't think this accurately reflects his ultimate 'thoughts' about how to live. His position later in life was that resistance to these things is futile, and possibly even harmful to one's ability to function sanely and intelligently.
>he is repeating beautiful phrases
"The are some sounds you make while shitting which are more beautiful [and life-affirming] than Beethoven's Ninth Symphony." - U.G.

Read this. Former follower of Osho, a famous movie director from India, meets UG, leaves Osho, this continued to happen, Osho was very upset and started berating UG.

>The front office of the ashram had warned the sannyasi against seeing U.G. After they met U.G., many of Rajneesh's very close devotees had quit the ashram. I remember in those days, Rajneesh gave four talks against U.G., calling him all sorts of names. 'U.G., you have not said a word in response to the repeated attacks Rajneesh has been making on you of late. Why? I have also noticed that you don't say much against any particular guru,' I asked.

>His reply was unusual: Gurus play a social role. So do prostitutes. Unfortunately, in society, what the gurus are offering is not only socially acceptable but also considered the be-all and end-all of our existence. The others are not. You choose what suits you best...
