Hey /lit/ I work a nightshift job (11pm-7am) and I usually read about a 300 page book a night. I've burned through a lot of classic SCI-FI authors like Heinlein, frank Herbert, Asminov, and now I'm going through authors like David Drake, David Weber, Fred Saberhagen, John Ringo, pretty much the entire BAEN catalogue, and I'm starting to read creature features now, mostly dumb monster books if I'm honest. However if you know any books on metal working, or leatherworking I'd be interested in that as well

Can you guys recommend me some good fiction authors? I'll read pretty much anything

For the metalworking/leatherworking I meant technical manuals, I'm a blacksmith on my free time.

I work a very boring state job that requires at most 30 minutes of actual effort a night.

I'm limited to books the size of paperbacks, I have plenty of hardcovers but I can't smuggle those in

I've read most of the more common Greek stories like the oddessy the Iliad, the trails of Hercules and Theseus.

I read the Hyperion novels and the terror and I wasn't disappointed. I'll be sure to checkout the others

I work at a very cushy prison, there is literally nothing to do on the night shift. It's either read or go insane
