yeah. I'm curious about the bookstore she appears to participate in (whether she owns it or is an employee there?). Anyhow, I've not read the book, limited experience w/heidegger, I've read 2 books by Arendt, and she's right about Arendt's disposition towards african americans (though blacks in general she has a different disposition) but I think that framing Arendt in such a way is not only terribly diminishing of a genius but also failing to understand her disposition within the context of the time and the literature she was responding to. I'd assume she's doing the same thing to Heidegger. I have no idea what utility she'd get from this presentation excepting an attempt to present a specific narrative, but I don't know enough about Heidegger's philosophy to get what narrative she's pursuing. Although, reading about Heidegger's life, he seems like a man of weak character.

Arendt's political philosophy was a lot more of a political metaphysic than like a political ethic, which is how political space is usually reckoned. This is not to say she didn't think about normativity (you can't not think about that in politics), but it was more in examining apparent dilemmas than in outright saying like, a list of prescriptions.
