You start by reading Marx "again", and then you can go with "Socialism and War" I guess.

Personaly, I began my Lenin journey with 'What is to be done?', but I wouldn't start there unless you're already deep into marxism.

Either 'Imperialism: the highest stage of capitalism', if you've already read some Marx

Or 'The Three Sources and Three Component Parts of Marxism' if you're still new to the immortal science.

Happy readings.

55 volumes, $100-$150 plus shipping. Soviet editors didn't include “questionable” documents, so your brain will remain as pure as a child one.

There has already been enough publications after the archives became open to Russian and international historians. Financial and political activity of revolutionary underground, international activities during the revolution and civil war, including then-state-secrets, support of various independence movements of former Russian Empire territories, Red Terror (and pre-revolutionary praise of terror), peace time persecution of opponents and critics, Philosopher's ships, state of the Red Army, who should join the lowest ranks of Soviet officials (the poor), and what to give them (share of the confiscated food and goods), etc. All of that included many names that would be removed from official history, like Trotsky, and contradicted the official image of the Great Lenin.

Keep digging until you can ascertain why he needed to change his name, then continue from that point.
