We all ought to wish ourselves in a better place, a real place, than here.
Farewell whenever that time comes.

Books as a medium will be completely extinct by the mid 2040s. 4chan(nel) will be gone before then, though.

In name it will be, but like other boards that have had times of dominance before it, the content will become lifeless and void in form. You need to enjoy things while they last.

This board will be Buddhist by that time and Guenon will only be a thing of ridicule.

What do I do with my life?

How do I find a job that allows me to just pursue completely personal goals with minimal work?

That’s a socialist world you’re describing, anon.
Under capitalism we just have to make sacrifices in order to survive

Maybe I'll just become a woodcarver, that way I can truly dwell in the world.

Scout ahead, get a lay of the land. When you are satisfied with your options, plot a course and follow it.
When you (inevitably) fall astray, either retrace your steps, or.
Just keep going where the dark forest takes you

>Just keep going where the dark forest takes you
But how do I scout? Do I try to reach academia and possibly fail? Or become a small bushtown woodcarver with plenty of time to read, be fit, achieve personal interests etc but forsake any higher achievement?

Say you have 3 points on a map. A, B, C.
A is where you are, and B and C are different places you want to be.
See, A is still a long ways a way from B and C. But if you walk towards either, you'll get closer to both somewhat. It will never be too late for a course change. Just gotta pick somewhere, and go there.
Or pick nowhere and go in circles.
Either way, what was "over there" will become "here" and what was "here" will be "back there".
Still doesn't change that it's all just "here".

Sam has said otherwise, once I'm 30 any major change is too late.

>Still doesn't change that it's all just "here".
But what if B is a lie?
