Really goes to show you the workings of motivated reasoning. You know the historical reasons so many Jews were found in Poland? They were invited there and esteemed for their skills. Anyway, I think there is a strong correlation to Judaism and being hated in several points in history. But not for the stupid ass reasons you probably attribute the effective cause to. The reasoning is largely related to their being permitted to commit ursury, which was really just loaning in general, not just loansharking, at least from the first milennia onwards. That's a solid material condition that shows repeated antagonism. Additionally, the orthodox have always been highly insular, which you can't always blame them for, but it's not much different from the muslims today that insist on living in close proximity and having their way in certain areas.
