Every time I start reading a new book I see hate threads about the author. Why are you so mean, /lit/?

There's nobody and nothing that isn't hated by someone or other. Some things deserve the hate, some don't. Let's settle this. What is it you are you reading?

Don't know about it so can't pass judgment
>meditations
Meditations 1-2 are great. The remaining 4 are fine even if everyone disagrees with the God proof.
>the stranger
I read it in high school. It's fine but I don't remember it well anymore.

It’s because the whole point of reading books in general is to shit talk them here anon.

>> No.14133131

>>14132546

And why is that? Can we not just enjoy literature?

>> No.14133253

>>14133131
I have the same question anon. But some books need to be judged.

You can enjoy a book and have some things that you dislike in it.

/lit/ hates literature and hates reading. Look at how many hate posts there are compared to love posts. Well, regardless of love or hate posts, look at the depth of the opinions these people have. These people are unable to describe their opinion further than "HOW CAN ONE MAN BE SO [insert "CRINGE" or "BASED"]?"

thx anon. I see it now, this board is broken and rotting

Every single Theist I know does, actually. It's at least better than Anselm's proof, also universally thought bad. Both are only supported in desperate circles. There are better proofs out there to consider.
