I'm fucking tired of reading philosophy and non fiction and indecipherable 1000 iq prose that I force myself to read, I'm tired of acting like a pseuud, honestly speaking I'll never be as smart as even a midwit like JBP.

Pls just recommend me a book series I won't want to put down once I start reading. I don't care if it's some shitty brainlet preteen thot ya series, as long as I'm engaged and escape this reality is all that matters.

Why are you forcing yourself to read anything? To impress anonymous strangers? There's a difference between reading to be smart and reading to be educated. If you read to be the former, then no wonder you are frustrated. What you have to do is read what interests you, so saying what those fields are would be a helpful start. Don Quixote is still timeless and hilarious while still being considered high-brow literature and the apex of the modern novel.

The Once and Future King is good old-fashioned English Arthurian stoner mythology about wizards aging backwards and turning into fish before quickly sinking into depressive contemplation and regret.

Lord of the Rings needs no introduction.

As much as Murakamu gets shit on, his books are comfy and the prose is clear. Read Kafka on the shore and Norwegian wood. Anon, as with everything, you need to work your way up. Read simpler prose then advance to more difficult texts.
