I cannot tell you anything you have not heard a thousand times before. There are basic truths here, accessible to all. The problem is the language used to describe them is either ancient, or so abstracted, bloated, and inadequate, that it is at best indecipherable, or at worst blatantly false. The best example I have is the concept of "God" - it refers to something real, but just the word calls forth a thousand cartoons of bearded men in clouds, angels, etc. that were invented to try to explain this concept to people who had not seen it. If you look for it, you will find it, and when you do, you will understand exactly what everyone was trying to tell you, and how inadequate they were - and you are! But you will be able to forgive them, and forgive yourself. I do not know of a way to demonstrate or logically argue what I'm trying to get at here to another person - some would recommend psychedelics (I would not - too many ways to go wrong). Others have done better jobs of it than I could, but still fail. My best attempt to explain it would be that love is cooked into the universe, physically, into matter - it is both the goal and the source of consciousness. Consciousness is a physical fact, arising from matter, that the universe PHYSICALLY allows for - this is important, mathematicians/physicists ignore this, ignore the blatant fact of ourselves, in favor of the outside world. they will never approach the whole picture until they can honestly tackle the problem of consciousness. There are many theories of mind that handwave the phenomenon away, essentially saying "it just happens" or "it just arises when functions interact with each other" or some other sort of magical thinking. This leads nowhere - it must be contended with honestly, humbly, and seriously. You can do this within yourself, and if you are successful, you will see. You will see what everyone meant by "heaven" what they were trying to say by "God," what "devils" actually refer to - the idea of "god" being intelligent, being a "creator," even being an "entity" becomes irrelevant - the new atheists are right in that there is no "God," as far as there is no CARTOON god. The real thing, that these cartoons refer to, is very much real. It sounds insane because it is.

If you ever do not know how to act, act kindly - this will solve nearly half the problems you will ever face in life. The other half are solved by being strong so that nothing shakes this kindness. The last one percent are technical problems that are solved by being very clever - these get the most attention, but they are the least important, and largely take care of themselves. Be kind, forgive, and you can accelerate this beautiful process we find ourselves in. Anything short of that is slowing it down - and you will slow it down, but it is the best we can do.
