How do you cope being a creative genius? I know I am miles above normans, and that makes social conventions a boring expenditure. I have many novel and genius ideas, but a few - none basically - can understand the significance of them. So, alas, I feel alone. Even on /lit/, and I assume because not many can achieve the phenomenon known as creative genius. I have written down all these marvelous and ingenious thoughts, and hopefully be able to publish at least 50 books or so. I think there are many ideas which could cause a paradigm shift and many books should become classics. It would probably take a while though before this happens (because it takes some rereading and an enormous amount of research and erudition). Anyhow, are there any other creative geniuses here? (I know the chance of it is rather slim, but it would be a blessing having to talk with someone who is.)

Pretty certain I also have genius ideas, but I still struggle expressing them, which is why it’s important to constantly practice

I cope with it by convincing myself I'm not a genius and then I cope with not being a genius by convincing myself that I am one and then I cope with that by convincing myself I'm not a genius, and I continue until the day is over.

This is the dumbest reply ever.

99% of workshops in grad school are done by other grad students who know fuck all about writing or the literary canon. The 1% of feedback you get from professors comes from an overworked "genius" who's just trying to write the same schlock that sells every book. It's a joke.

Tldr: if you're a genius, find criticism beyond workshops with normies.
