Still pretty new to /lit/ so bear with me here for a moment. Lately I've been watching a lot of Dave Rubin's interviews and he's quickly becoming one of my favorite public intellectuals. I agree with pretty much everything he stands for. Anyway, to cut to the chase, I'm wondering if any of you know what some of his favorite books are? Obviously he's easy to understand, as he doesn't use any highfalutin language, but somehow I think I sense that I only understand his worldview superficially. I'd like that to change. So, again, what are Dave Rubin's favorite books? Which ones helped him form his particular worldview. Thanks.

I mean, why does it matter what his favorite books are? Unless they're a formative influence to his writing or philosophy, what correlation do they have to his thought? Maybe besides contemporary relevance or moral agreement... I don't know... maybe I just don't care as much about Dave Rubin, but I do relate to obsession with pundits, indeed.

OP your mistake is that you have decided to start with a YouTube personality, or a radio personality, or whatever the fuck Mr. Rubin is. Why would you do this? You have essentially made an idol of this man. What value do his opinions have? What learning has he demonstrated? If you cannot figure out what books he would like, it seems like he has no great intellectual value. You seem like you have fallen for a pseud and a charlatan, OP.

Lol. People on lit are so dumb that they fall for obvious bait. All those books aren’t helping I guess

Rubin is genuinely a massive retard. I don't care what your politics is, he's all around stupid.
