Why yes, I do think philosophical fiction is the highest form of literature. How could you tell?

its normal for young people to be absolutists, as you age you begin to enjoy a glass of fine wine as well as a cheap icecream cone.

if you try to avoid this you will not learn or mature correctly. your 20s are a time of wild passion and absolute surrender to ideology and extreme intellectual positions. then you live to reach 30, and you see a lot of things, stupid people, disabled people, clever people, dishonest ones, you realise that animals are treated unfairly but are also inferior to humans, but we are all living creatures and at least most living things are honest and true to themselves, whereas most humans and the societies and civilizations they build are hypocrisies stacked on top of each other, then you hit your 40s and you have lots of little kids and you realise it's not all bad, because every new generation is a fresh start, and we stack knowledge throughout time and improve, and you did your part and can die happy in your 80s when you see your children have their own children and you are reminded of all those memories of your youth, your fire and passion rekindled in the exploration of life.

dfw said at some point that he felt as if he was using all of himself when writing literature, and only half of himself writing his senior philosophy paper. i feel that way with writing. i agree with >>13627468 even though im only 21. ive found that i , while a believer in the universal, love the particular much more than the totality of it all. and i think im a bit happier with that . but it isnt as if i havea choice.
