I would say that it has an enjoyable story, but it is definitely unnecessarily long. Rand objected to cuts and said "you wouldn't cut the bible," can you believe it? Your justifications show that you don't really understand the book. Calling Atlas Shrugged bad because it's a bad work of art is like a water bottle bad because you can't anally please yourself with it. Atlas Shrugged is not a work of art. It exists to give capitalist apologist types who are not completely bereft of a soul an excuse for a philosophical justification for their politics. It serves its purpose fairly well so you can't call it bad.

Do you seriously not believe it’s possible to be successful in America without leeching off your parents/family?

You obviously need others to work for, but it is not them you depend on, they depend on you for your work. This is why some economists like Louis Kelso advocated for wider capital distribution entirely, in the hands of the workers, because they are who actually create the value for the company. :3

It’s kind of hard to do these days, but not THAT hard. I’ve been living on my own for like 4 or 5 years now. Had to go back home one time. I can depend on them, it’s not like they hate me, but it’s the way life is. :3

Anyway, Ayn Rand is stupid. And I might even like some of the people who read Rand but Rand herself advocated for no taxes at all, and that’s not something that even Ludwig Von Mises, a far right polemic ‘economist’ who I hate for the same reasons as Rand (not for the misogynistic reasons as OP), would say.

Honestly at the end of the day, sometimes people get a little too absorbed in a political ‘side’ and lose touch with reality.

It’s the ‘right’ economists that actually get stuff done that are the most balanced. Like Louis Kelso’s ESOP. Or Milton Friedman’s influence on the United States to do away with the gold-exchange standard.

the irony of socialists forcing their ideology on others never ceases to amaze me, it is no wonder that you are at odds with what Rand writes about, as she suggests that one may live for oneself, not for others at the behest of others. It is also no wonder that her writings have become more and more attacked by the intelligentsia of modern higher education, as we can't have a population of people believing that they do not need an authoritarian government telling them how to be happy, and who to live for.
I doubt you have read her works in their entirety, rather cliff notes, or various snippets that your lit. professor put on 5min slide show, to dissuade you from further discovery of the evils against any view opposing socialism.

Blah blah blah averages. Yeah, that's true, but if you look at the extremes (aka genius, psychopaths, etc) it's almost always dominated by men. The data is there. Even in the Nordic countries which are as "egalitarian" as it gets, they found that an even greater skew of women NOT entering fields such as STEM, math, etc.

Where there is even more "sexual freedom," women were more likely to choose majors such as humanities, arts, etc.

So now, in terms of quantity, there are less women in "this makes muh brain hurt" fields.
Throw in the fact that the extremes tend be dominated by men (more geniuses, more psychos), and the bare truth is that, in general, yes, there are much more "smart" men than women.

What pushes genius? Not just raw talent, although that is a significant component that cannot be denied. It's also heavily influenced by radical behavior such as "my whole life is focused on this" or "I am extremely competitive" or "I will overwork (by average standards) on this until I blow my brains out." Testosterone = more risk taking, more aggression. Men tend to have more testosterone, and thus more likely to take risks (let's bet my whole life on starting a company instead of taking the "safe route") or devote themselves entirely, aggressively, toward something ("math is the be all end all for me").

Throw in the fact that women, by nature, also have to deal with child birth (and are also much more likely to be involved in child rearing), all of which are time consuming processes, mix it in with something known as "compound advantage", multiply that by years and decades.

Is it any wonder that there tend to be more "smarter" men?

Combine that with the fact that men will laugh at a woman's joke even if it isn't funny, is it any wonder that, in general, when it comes to "muh brain hurts" stuff, is it any wonder that women, in general, tend to be trash in those fields?

No one serious is saying woman = bad.
But in general, woman = not high quality.

Women may get certain boost once software engineering becomes language dominated (gradient graph connected thinking) - large amount of moving parts you have to connect intuitively to get some emergent property - ie piecing up AI models by "talking to the computer" in fuzzy, but complex grammars.

Maybe. But women would also need to voluntarily choose to major and work in computer sciences.

More women than men attend college now, and yet STEM majors are still drastically occupied by men.

Women, it seems, just don't like it. And that's fine. Also there have been studies that, to put it in simple terms, shown that women and men performed similarly for "hard but not that hard" math (I forgot the exact grade level). But then found that women still chose to go with something like English because they were also good at English, and liked English better.

So baseline, yeah, pretty much the same between the sexes. Averages, yeah, also pretty much the same.

Higher learning though? Extremes? Almost always dominated by men.

You can't become a math professor just because you did well in grade 12 math. You have to actually keep pushing forward, which requires you to not major in English (or more correctly, requires you to actually major in Math).

Nobody gives a shit about IT degrees when it comes to grunt IT work. The field moves forward too fast for CS101 to stay relevant. A pajeet doesn't need to know how 4-way associative cache works to cobble up mobile shovelware in kotlin.

For top of the line research postgrad, sure. Women will indeed never compete as they'll be always steamrolled by male outliers, courtesy of higher variance and aggression in males. Same reason women will never beat men in sports or chess at the top level.

But that's not where the money at. The money at (for mass populace) is the pajeets, code monkeys. You make the mistake of claiming "males are superior because of outliers". That in itself is apex fallacy. 80% of the bell graph still overlaps, so for 8 people of 10, women are as capable - just motivation and style of problem solving is different.

Ain't nobody claiming males superior because outliers son.

Pajeet work still requires you to major in the field. Unless you're saying this grunt work won't even have the minimum of barriers (certificates, majors). Even shit jobs that monkeys can do are requiring some form of a bachelors.

Also I said exactly what you said
>Averages, its pretty much all the same
because like you said, bell graph

No ones making any claim of superiority. Value isn't derived only from ability to churn out shekels or "but muh high IQ."

As if being able to relate to someone emotionally isn't valuable. As if being beautiful isn't valuable. As if being a cum dump doesn't have value. As if being all muscles-no brain laborer doesn't have value. As if sexuality isn't valuable.

Just because you can't put a precise dollar sign to something doesn't mean it doesn't have value. People, for some reason, are just obsessed with this idea that anything tangentially related to "ability to pump money" is more valuable.

Yeah, inventions are great. It is nice to be able to microwave shit and not have to like make fire by clanking rocks. Motherly warmth is also great too. Sexual intimacy is also good too.

Dance is more personal but just as trippy with the symbolism. As usual I was cheated and got a watered down American version with less nudity. I liked them both for what they are. El Topo I think I like the least, but its not so bad either.

Also, in what world do you live in that code monkey is just some job anyone can pick up?

Are you referring to data entry? Like "put all this shit in paper form into that computer." That's not code monkey.

Women are capable of entering the field of computer sciences. Women who have not been trained or worked in the computer sciences, on the other hand, are not capable. As are men who haven't trained either.

Women are capable, on a baseline level. Like you have enough potential to become an apprentice in this field. But let''s not get ahead of ourselves and say baseline level = can do XYZ job.

I'm a code ni/g/ra. Seriously, nobody gives a shit. Not even about certs anymore.

>As if being able to relate to someone emotionally isn't valuable.
There's far more to it. Women on average score better at psychomotor precision, aesthetics, attention to detail, conscientiousness and most importantly, seeing relative, low dimension patterns in pictures (men score the opposite - high dimensionality, but it everything has to be positioned absolutely).

Women have general style of cognition well suited for female hiearchy power games - just like men have style of cognition for blunt competition with each other. Women can use it to waste time with gossip, feminism, or can also use it for something useful. Just like a man can use his IQ for pseuding on here all day trying to find rationalizations for hating women, or do something productive.

You're right, to a certain degree. But you still need a portfolio. You can't just no cert, no major, no prior work, no portfolio and voila, I am programmer menz.

Also pajeet works for cents on the dollars. Unless you're comparing poo-in-my-loo male to poo-in-my-loo female. In which case, I'm sure they still have their standards, even if it's much lower than "ours."

No one is hating on women, stop projecting son.

Just because I'm a rude dumb shit that says stuff like "cum dump" doesn't mean it's not true. Have you wandered off your safe space? Or did you forget we're on a mongloid cartoon forum?

>Also, in what world do you live in that code monkey is just some job anyone can pick up?
Janitor IT jobs is people 105 and higher. Yes, it's that easy to pick up. It's no different, in terms of effort, from learning a foreign language. Code monkeys don't do much in a way of problem solving, they just google up answers and trial and error it for the most part. They're slow, but cheap.

>Are you referring to data entry? Like "put all this shit in paper form into that computer." That's not code monkey.
That was 20 years ago. No human does that anymore.

>Women who have not been trained or worked in the computer sciences, on the other hand, are not capable. As are men who haven't trained either.
I should note this is an engineering occupation, not really science. As for why I cherrypick IT codemonkeying - with automation going way it goes, this and entertainment are the only occupations viable down the line.

Of course I am. What do you think vast majority of the bell graph is? In this IQ region, doesn't matter if its pajeet or morbidly obese white trash with lit critic degree, forced into the job at 45 to pay off student loan debts. Well, at least pajeets are less entitled.

>>13587368
>Also not counting the fact that a difference in "it's just 5" is a big difference
Exactly. >100 is 50% of population, >105 is 30%. It's a ballpark from general observation that on average 1 out of 3 people are capable to grasp how does one code monkey on some basic level.

>Also not counting the fact that there's more than just raw intelligence in regards to "code monkey" jobs aka not just anyone can pick it up
It's all you need. You can of course sperg about proclivities of cognition in small samples, but in mass population sample, the IQ will still strongly correlates if its a candidate monkey or not because it measures enough association-spatial - regardless of gender. It should be noted that there's always (at least) 20% less females because the bell graph is shifted on the whole.

100% agree. I read it a few years ago and willingly put up with 500 pages of it, but the last 400 pages were murderous. I can only read descriptions of railroads so many times before I need to read something else.

Also, there was a part towards the climax that I was skimming through because it was too painful to actually read. Was I hallucinating or was there a part where the main villain opens a door, and Dagny's holding a gun and says, 'youre out of time,' so he runs to another door, and D'Anconia's there with a gun of his own saying, 'nowhere to run,' and so he runs to a third door and Galt is there with a gun and he goes, 'nice try, bad guy.'? I remember it being so painfully stupid that I couldnt believe I was actually reading it. Please help.

>Let me guess, you're one of those "journalist" that tweeted
Worse - daily contact with pajeet sweatshops. It's not "just get a coding job". A country boy walks into a tech park: It's either call center (2 of 3), or pajeeting (1 of 3). It's not an option, you either do it, or live in abject poverty.
