What is the purpose of metaphysics? Its one of the main reasons I've never bothered reading people like evola; just seems like bullshit

You can tell someone is fit to study philosophy if they enjoy learning about things with no practical applications. Most people lack this drive. That's about all there is to it.

Metaphysics > Ontology > Objective/Subjective

If you're interested in an idea place or object's being you ask about its onta, present participle of to be. You can't ask whether something is objective or subjective in any other field.

I enjoy learning about things with no practical application provided they're actually things to begin with. If my understanding is correct you might as well be learning about lord of the rings lore.

Sure. And studying LoTR lore isn't for you if you don't enjoy it

>Metaphysics > Ontology
Vorstellung > Theology > Ontology = "Epistemology" (things don't 'exist').
Ontology = Theology = Metaphysics

I'd argue mysticism precedes philosophy but epistemology is definitely a separate branch although you can use separate branches as foundations to prove others

Intuition precedes all, mysticism is the other side of the same coin as intuition. Which is why theology = ontology

These days it's a redoubt for mysticists (it provides a veneer of logic for their addled ramblings)... Maybe it always was. Everything could fit under ontology -- metaphysics is a superfluous category.
