>start reading a book
>realize in the first couple pages narrator is LITERALLY you
>put book down and stare in mirror for 5 minutes

Any other books for this feel?

This book would have flourished with greater variety, length, and some kind of direction. Michael obviously has an acute sense of humor. Beginning of the book was bland but really hit its stride after the first third. Favorite part is the amusing anecdote about throwing large rocks at freeway and causing multi-vehicle pile-up.

Imagine what this book could have been if he actually put effort into making a plot.

First half is angsty cringe

Halfway through it turns into a 6/10 book with a few gems here and there. The optics of criminals part was funny

>THE UNDERGROUND MAN IS LITERALLY ME
>STONER IS LITERALLY ME
>IGNATIUS REILLY IS LITERALLY ME
>YOZO IS LITERALLY ME
These sentiments are the equivalent of Heath Ledger joker posting ("Heath Ledger's Joker is just like me intelligent, nihilistic, and with a wicked sense of humour").

"Literally me" is just a meme that translates to "I really identified with this character's traits and development."

It's ~130 pages of anon rambling about random stuff. Pretty entertaining considering it hasn't got a plot or deeper message. I think it's been circulating here because the guy is peripheral to the /lit/ twitter sphere
