What did you do this weekend faggots? I went camping for 3 days with my wife and the dog (Plato). He got to be off a leash for the first time and did really well, and rode in the kayak for about 2 hours total even though he wasn't stoked about it. Read a bit of Joyce, played a bit of banjo. Tell me you didn't sit here and argue about deleuze, juden peterstein and god for 30 hours?

Been here since 05/06 and my wife and I used to browse /b/ and ogrish together. Favorite author is probably Jonathan Swift.

It was, to be sure, better than last weekend.
But, I, digress!
I saw a good N/bait thread earlier, which was, of course, deleted by a dysphoric boardkeeper while an, may Allah forgive me for uttering this word, INCEL thread was allowed to thrive and run its course.
The ABSOLUTE state of /lit/

Yeah basically. I got permabanned from this faggot website in 2014 at my old address for posting this image and "lol" as a thread, but the reason for the permaban was actually for having well over 40 bans for a successful campain against tulpas on /x/ and an unsucessful campaign against communists here.

I didn't even know 4chan recorded ban history and took it into account when banning. Does seem more frequent/less tolerant on other IPs with more ban history.

I mean camping probably is literally LARPing but its not weird LARPing like going to renaissance faires or being some kind of tranny. It also was really a huge step in training the dog to be an extension of me which is important. We'll bond just as primitive man and friendly wolf did and the rest will be history. For like 13 years then I'll have to shoot him or something :^(

They were the distilled, worst version of roleplaying on /x/. It wasnt strictly tulpas, it was also divining like palm reading, tea leaves, whatever. There used to be a dozen or so divining threads up at any given time. And tulpas were literally people from MLP talking about fucking their imaginary friends.

So maybe you can see, these are are really horrible for /x/ because there are 9001 ways to divine things and tulpas are just pure unadultered delusional nonsense. So at one point in early 2014 I pushed 8 pages of /x/ off the board just reposting and bumping the tulpa general over and over again. I helped foster the anti-tulpa culture and culture that has corraller diviners into ONE general today. /x/ might be dead, but its for different reasons and god damn it I FUCKING tried.

Now sure but still sometimes its good. The highwater marks were in 2009 when creepypasta was new and in 2012-13 when creepypasta was still popular and some really good long ones were produced, around the same time as skinwalkers and then elisa lam killed it. /x/ has actually been okay in the last year with weird web finds and the meta games with the icebergs and schizotube.
>>13350513
The only reason I EVER namefagged was because I was dumping short Lovecraft stories and didn't fully clear the title of The Cats of Ulthar

The orange cat here was named Ruggles after thomas pynchon. He died of FELV but I turned him from indescribably wild, like the tasmanian devil in looney tunes, to a lapcat for his blessed 3 years. Big grey guy Spooky is almost 11 now.

Forgot to mention back in 2009 things like dyatlov pass were new. This stuff wasn't discussed to death. Youtube was also not what it is today. That first missing 411 coast to coast in 2012 or whatever had peopled SPOOKED.

What do you think of Ligotti? Do you have any good creepypastas saved?

>> No.13350644

>>13350622
I think Ligotti doesn't have the best endings, but endings are hard. His atmosphere it good. I'll sell you my copy of the nightmare factory for 50 bucks.

Off the top of my head the best creepypastas IMO are called
>The Stairs and the Doorway
>NormalPornForNormalPeople
>Anasi's Goatman Story
>The Watchers
>The Strangers

Scratch the watchers, its the same as the one after it. But I'll raise you this one. It's rare, but I think its properly wholesome but dark. I promise promise promise I am not this guy. He posted it on /x/ and it stuck with me. https://thejosefkstories.com/2009/01/25/the-gift/amp/

very drunk weekend. too much beer for this stomach. eating mexican food and drinking wiskey with friends on friday, 1 year anniversary of a brewery owned by friends yesterday and tonight was a garden concert. Overall a great time though

13 years, so 13 years too long

at this moment I'd say Steinbeck but give me a few months and I'll probably say Woolf
